We learned earlier that Android 2.3 could be launching on December 6th, but a new rumor suggests that Google won't be the only company releasing an OS update next month.  According to the folks at MacStories, Apple is planning to launch iOS 4.3 on December 13th, shortly after introducing subscription billing in the iTunes Store.  As I'm sure most iDevice owners know, however, iOS 4.2 was originally scheduled for release early in November was delayed due to WiFi issues.  The source isn't sure if that delay will end up pushing back the launch of iOS 4.3, too, but it's entirely possible.

Considering that iOS 4.2 just launched yesterday, I'm kind of surprised to learn that Apple is planning to send out another upgrade so soon.  iPad magazine subscriptions could be huge for the platform and the magazine industry, though, so it's understandable that Apple would want to get the ball rolling as soon as possible.  If I had to guess, I bet that even if iOS 4.2's delay pushed back 4.3's launch, Apple is going to work around the clock to get things back on schedule to give all iDevice owners a nice, early holiday gift.
