There have been conflicting reports as to when the HTC Merge is finally going to launch, and now we have another possibility to consider. According to a document sent over to the folks at Droid-Life, the Merge is going to launch on Verizon this Thursday, November 18th, at the Seattle club Republiq. Interestingly, the Merge is referred to as the "HTC Droid Merge World-Phone," even though the device has been spotted with Bing on board. The DROID Incredible will also be "relaunched" at the event. On a separate but still related note, the Merge has also been spotted in a Cellbrite, leading many to believe that the handset's launch is just around the corner.
At first we heard that the Merge would be arriving on November 11th, which obviously didn't happen, and then last week a new rumor stated that the device had been delayed so that an LTE radio could be thrown in. Now this new rumor shows that November 18th is the day, but I wouldn't go lining up at your local Verizon store just yet. Sure, Verizon has been waiting to announce their new phones until a day before they launch, but a flyer for the event, which you can see below, mentions the Merge exactly zero times. Be sure to stay tuned, just don't hold your breath.
