Google gave us a small taste of Gingerbread a couple of weeks ago, but ever since we've been wondering when the OS would actually arrive. It was rumored to be coming a few weeks ago (and obviously didn't), but now the folks at IntoMobile believe that they know when it will actually be coming. A "trusted source" has told the site that the Gingerbread SDK will arrive on November 11th, aka next Thursday. Samsung is planning an Android-focused event on Monday, so if this latest Gingerbread rumor turns out to be the real deal, next week could be big for all the fans of Google's green robot.
The Gingerbread Man has been outside of the Google complex for about two weeks now, so it's probably a safe bet to assume that the OS is coming any day now. Some people have speculated that the Nov. 11th launch date makes sense because Samsung has been rumored to be unveiling the Nexus Two at their event (although if you ask them, the N2 doesn't exist). While I'm not completely sold on the Nexus showing up at Sammy's event, the arrival of the Gingerbread SDK next week seems plausible. After all, we've heard that the OS was supposed to come out Q4 2010, and Google is slowly running out of days on the calendar.
