Last week we learned that the Motorola BACKFLIP would finally be updated to Android 2.1 some time in the fourth quarter, and now it looks like the upgrade will be arriving sooner than many expected. According to an AT&T document leaked yesterday, the BACKFLIP-flavored Eclair will begin to hit "all markets" on November 9th. The update actually rolled out yesterday to 1,000 lucky beta testers chosen by Motorola, but if you weren't able to gain entrance to the hip, exclusive group, at least you won't be waiting long to taste the BLURry, Eclair goodness.
There hasn't been much said about the BACKFLIP's 2.1 update since it just came out, but initial reports say that the entire experience is snappier. That shouldn't come as much of a surprise, though, considering that the device is making the jump from 1.5 to 2.1. So, to those of you out there already running the latest software on your BACKFLIP, how's everything working out for you?
