We may still be a few months away from seeing a CDMA Windows Phone 7 device (heck, we still don't have any WP7 phones), but that hasn't stopped one such product from earning the FCC's stamp of approval. As you can see in the image above, the HTC-made Windows Phone is a production unit with a CDMA radio and the model name PC93100. None of that information helps us figure out just which handset this is, but considering that the only CDMA WP7 device that has been announced so far is the HTC 7 Pro, there's a good chance that this is that very phone.
It's strange that this HTC device, whether it's the 7 Pro or something completely different, is already gaining FCC certification when there are no CDMA Windows Phone 7 devices planned for this year. Is it that difficult for Microsoft to get the CDMA software ready for public consumption? It's tough to say at this point, but it would certainly be awesome to see some CDMA WP7 handsets pop up as early as January next year.
