The Sanyo Vero may be a basic flip phone, but you have to admit that it looks pretty cool. The curved design and styling make it stand out from the other phones in its category.  If you're looking for a simple phone for making calls and doing a little bit of texting, the Vero is probably a good option. I'll have to put it through more testing before I make my final decision, but here are a few things I've noticed in the short time I've had it:  

• Like I said, awesome design. It's sleek, it's curvy, it's thin - the design just works. It also feels very solid and sturdy. In all, the phone measures 3.7" x 2.0" x .6" and weighs 3.4 ounces.
• The internal 2.4-inch display actually looks pretty good. It's very clear and bright. It's a simple QVGA display, but colors show up very well and text looks crisp. I'm impressed.  
• Big numbers. I suppose that's a positive for older users.  
• So, obviously, the 1 megapixel camera is nothing to write home about, but at least it has a camera! It's enough for simple snapshots and quick pics. No flash or autofocus, but it gets the job done.
• Threaded text messaging. Not something you would expect on a basic flip phone considering that a lot of high-end messaging phones don't even have that feature, but there it is.  
• The 840 mAh battery may seem puny, but remember, you're not going to be doing a lot of power-draining things with this device. For calling, texting, and taking a few pictures, it should be fine.  

Like I said, I haven't been able to test it out a whole lot, but so far I'm impressed. I know it's just a basic phone and not everyone is going to be clamoring to get it, but if all you need is a flip phone, but you still want one that looks good, the Vero is a great option.
