T-Mobile may have missed their planned September roll out for the Samsung Vibrant GPS fix by that much, but all that matters is that the update is finally here. Thanks to Samsung's @GalaxysSupport Twitter account, we now know that that T-Mobile is in the process of rolling out the JI6 update for the Vibrant. The previous update, which was shortly available through Samsung Kies and then quickly pulled, was JI5. Neither Samsung nor T-Mobile has come forward to say exactly what the update contains, but it's likely just about the same as the JI5 update from last week, just more official.
Now that the both the Captivate and the Vibrant have both been updated to remove GPS bugs, it seems that most most major issues with the various Galaxy S phones have finally been ironed out. Sure, it may have taken a bit longer than we all would have liked, but that's the way it goes sometimes, I suppose. So, Vibrant owners, let us know when the update arrives to bring you a (hopefully) fully-functioning GPS.
