As Palm continues to let webOS 2.0 bake in the oven, potential new webOS hardware continues to leak out to the Internet. First we saw the P102EWW/P102UNA certified, and now a device with the model number P102UEU has passed through the FCC. The "UEU" portion means that the device is likely headed for Europe, but it still had to get certified here to make sure it wouldn't explode when used in the U.S. As usually happens when something leaks out, the Internet has torn through every bit of data possible to extract some more information. The folks at PreCentral and webOS Internals have uncovered the following info:
All of this information seems to point to a Pre 2-type device, hopefully with that 640x960 screen resolution that we saw pop up in a webOS app's logs. While it's disappointing that Palm has confidentiality on this P102UEU device until March next year, I have to imagine that we'll be seeing it sooner than that. Considering how long it's been since there has been any truly new webOS hardware, it would probably be wise for Palm to push it out as soon as possible.
