While Palm is hard at work perfecting webOS 2.0 and all of its new features, rumors have been flying about potential new hardware that could along with the software. We haven't really seen much solid information about these new devices, but that may change today with a rumor about a device with the code name "Mansion." According to one of PreCentral's "very reliable tipsters," the Mansion will sport an 800x480 screen with no physical keyboard in sight. There's no word on whether or not the Mansion is the P102UNA/P102EWW that we saw last week.
The 800x480 screen resolution is becoming increasingly common among high-end smartphones as of late, so I wouldn't be surprised to see a new Palm device with a similar display. A full touch device also makes sense, especially when you consider that a virtual keyboard was recently spotted in webOS 2.0. No one knows when we'll see the Mansion, but I wouldn't be surprised to see it launch some time later this year alongside webOS 2.0. After all, I'm sure Palm would like to have some hot, new hardware to release alongside a major OS revision.
