We're inching closer and closer to Microsoft's October 11th event and the inevitable release of Windows Phone 7, and the handset leaks featuring the new mobile OS just keep a-comin'.  Today we have reports that the Samsung Omnia 7 and HTC T8788 have appeared in DSLReports' Mobile speed test.  The Omnia 7 is a new name to us, likely the sequel to the Samsung Omnia and Omnia II.  Many speculate that the Omnia 7 is the Samsing i8700 that we saw last month, which doesn't seem too far-fetched.  Then there's the HTC T8788, which is the unique little landscape slider with a speaker rather than a QWERTY that was leaked last month.  Interestingly, the T8788 showed up running on Verizon's network.  Given that we know that there will be no CDMA Windows Phone 7 handsets until some time in 2011 and that the T8788 will be running on AT&T's network, this likely means that the device was running on a VZW mobile hotspot.

With all of the Windows Phone 7 leaks that we've seen, it's obvious that interested consumers will have quite a selection of different handsets to choose from at launch, even with Microsoft's strict rules about what kind of hardware will be allowed to run the OS.  We've seen full-touch devices, the HTC T8788 with the landscape sliding speaker, and a few handsets with a more traditional sliding QWERTY board.  With Microsoft's approval of BlackBerry-style hardware, too, the options are going to be even more wide open.  Which form factor looks most appealing to you, readers?
