Most Apple iOS devices are given a model or version number before their release and, while these numbers usually mean very little to us, they can occasionally help out new Apple products. Today Apple released the latest OS for their new AppleTV, and it contains references to two new iPhones. The iPhone 4 is known as iPhone 3,1, and the two new iPhone models are listed as 3,2 and 3,3. No one knows exactly what the 3,2 and 3,3 models are, but considering that they still have the number "3" prefix, many people are guessing that one of them is the mythical Verizon iPhone that's rumored to be launching in January.
Even if the Verizon (or other CDMA carrier) iPhone is one of the new models, it's tough to figure out what the other one would be. Perhaps an iPhone with a larger (or smaller) screen to compete with the ever-growing Android devices? An iPhone with a slide out QWERTY keyboard for those of us that prefer a more tactile experience? The entire situation is about as clear as mud at this point, so it's anyone's guess as to what iPhone 3,2 and 3,3 are. What do you think, readers?
