New BlackBerry devices are almost always leaked dozens of times before Research In Motion even acknowledges their existences, and the BlackBerry Style 9670 is no different in this respect. Today the unique clamshell, full QWERTY-toting handset is the star of not one, but two video tours. The first clip compares the Style to other BlackBerry devices, like the Pearl and Pearl Flip, while the second video shows off BlackBerry 6 running on the Style. Reported specs for the Style include a 5 megapixel camera with flash, HVGA display, EV-DO, and a full QWERTY keyboard. You can check out both videos of the Style down below.
With the Style 9670, RIM is continuing to launch BlackBerrys with interesting form factors and trying to attract some more mainstream customers. We've heard in the past that the Style will launch on Sprint and, as with all BlackBerry launches on Sprint, it's a good bet that the Style will be released on Verizon at the same time shortly thereafter. Sure, the Style may not be the most attractive device ever, but the combination of a QWERTY keyboard and a flip form factor gives the 9670 a good chance to be a hit with customers, especially those looking for their first smartphone.
