Apple's iPad is one of the devices that helped to spark the rising tide of tablet releases, with many new devices set to launch in the near future. If a rumor posted by Engadget is true, then Target will be getting in on the tablet revolution soon. According to Engadget's source, a series of products with pricing just like the iPad's has shown up in Target's PDAs, and there is also a list with an unnamed product that is set to launch on October 3rd in six different iterations. Also, the mystery product is said to be placed in the Digital Audio section, just like Amazon's Kindle and the various iPods.
While this news is nowhere near any sort of official confirmation that Target will indeed begin selling iPads, it does at least make for some interesting speculation. If true, this means that the number of potential iPad customers could grow quite a bit since many more people would get the opportunity to get hands-on time with the product before making a purchase. October 3rd is only a few weeks away, so if this rumor is the real deal, we should be seeing more soon. Do you think Target will actually begin selling iPads or is this all just nonsense?
