It's been a while since we've heard anything about the Nexus One, but this week the device made the headlines again in a big way. On Tuesday, Google was hit with a class action lawsuit claiming that the company breached its contract with customers because their Nexus Ones were unable to maintain a 3G connection. Those customers also feel that Google misled them about the Nexus One's capabilities and failed to provide adequate customer support. Nathan Nabors, a resident of Florida, is leading the suit, which covers anyone that lives in Florida and California and purchased a Nexus One from Google. HTC and T-Mobile are not currently involved in the suit.
The Nexus One was known to have problems with its 3G connection, but neither HTC nor Google really came through with a total fix. Although sales of the Nexus One to consumers were halted several months ago, the device was made available to Android developers and has been doing pretty well ever since. Google has yet to comment publicly on the suit, but I'm sure we'll be hearing more about the case soon.
