Yesterday we saw LG unveil its new Android tablet, the Optimus Pad.  Unfortunately, they didn't offer much in the way of specs, release, or pricing information.  Good news for those of us waiting on the edge of our seat for that info, as LG has sent out an invite to an Optimus themed event taking place on September 14th.  The invite only shows the "Optimus" name along with a nondescript device that may or may not be the Optimus Pad.  LG did promise that more information about the Optimus Pad was coming, so perhaps they're planning to use this event to share that info?

We have seen some LG Optimus phones in the past, but there hasn't been anything recent sporting the Optimus Pad except for the new tablet.  Just remember that there is a possibility that LG plans to unveil some new Optimus phones, so don't get all of your Optimus Pad hopes up.  With the recent string of Android tablets, however, I imagine LG would want to get the Optimus Pad out as quickly as possible.  Luckily, it's already September 2nd, so we've got less than two weeks to wait!
