Remember that time that the DROID Incredible was rumored to get Android 2.2? Yeah, us too. Now we've got another rumored date to throw out there, though I'll admit that this one does seem more legitimate than the ones in the past. The folks over at Droid Life have received a photo of what looks to be an internal Verizon screen stating that the Incredible Froyo update will begin rolling out tomorrow, August 27th. Verizon has also posted PDFs explaining the Android 2.2 upgrade on the Incredible's support page, adding some credence to this rumor.
Like I said, I know we've heard rumors about the Incredible's Android 2.2 update several times in the past. However, the fact that Verizon has posted support information for the upgrade on their website leads me to believe that if Incredible owners don't see Froyo tomorrow, it'll happen within a few days. For example, a similar screen also said that the DROID would be getting its Flash-enabling update on the 24th, but it didn't actually hit until today. Still, you'd better hold tight, folks; it looks like the DROID Incredible is finally going to get bumped up to Android 2.2.
