While many Nokia fans are awaiting for the N8 to hit, others will prefer the slightly lower-end, and cheaper, C7. Good news for them, as the C7 may have just slipped through the FCC. The device is featuring quadband EDGE as well as HSPA on the 850/AWS/1900/2100 bands. Engadget isn't positive that the device in the FCC, with the model code RM-718, is the C7, but the image in the FCC database does look extremely similar to photos of the C7 we've seen in the past. Featuring Symbian^3 on a 640x360 resolution screen, the C7 should be a hit with users who want something a little cheaper than the N8 superphone.
Considering the N8, C7, and Nokia EVP Niklas Savander's words in his Twitter conversations yesterday, it sounds like Nokia is definitely making some good moves to re-invent itself in the public eye and steal some marketshare from Android, iOS, and BlackBerry in North America. If they're able to get their devices to a reasonable price point on some carriers in America, they could definitely have some hits on their hands with the N8 and C7.
