I don't know about you guys, but August 12th can't come any sooner for me. The Motorola DROID 2 launch date, long-rumored to be Aug. 12th, is getting more concrete by the day, and I'm both excited for the phone to hit and for the leaks to finally come to an end. Droid Life has received a photo of what looks to be an internal Best Buy screenshot, confirming August 12th as the day we'll finally get our paws on the sequel to the most successful Android device to date.
I'm really surprised that we haven't heard anything official from Verizon or Motorola about the DROID 2 considering that the 12th is next Thursday. You would think that since the DROID has been one of the hottest handsets in Verizon's history, they'd want everyone to know of the upcoming sequel. Something to note about the screenshot above is that Best Buy is adamant about their employees not selling the DROID 2 before August 12th, which sounds like stores may be getting devices in stock earlier than then. Anyone want to try to persuade their local Best Buy Mobile employees to slip them a DROID 2 a few days early?
