Today Apple released iOS 4.1 beta 3 to developers via Apple's iOS Dev Center. This is noteworthy because generally, Apple spaces out the iOS betas by a couple of weeks to allow devs to work with the OS, find bugs, etc. This time, however, the difference was about a week, which hopefully means that iOS 4.1 is just about ready for primetime. The latest beta of 4.1 is focused heavily on Apple's GameKit and Game Center. There haven't been any noteworthy additions found in beta 3 just yet, but we'll let you know if anything is found.
Hopefully we'll be seeing iOS 4.1 sooner rather than later, especially considering that Steve Jobs has said in the past that we would be seeing a software fix for the iPhone 4's proximity sensor issues. It'll be nice to finally see Game Center released, too, so that all of the different game networks can be unified under one app. Have any of you app devs out there had the chance to mess with iOS 4.1 beta 3?
