We're all eagerly awaiting the arrival of the first LTE equipment to hit the scene some time later this year, and now we've got some images to whet our appetite until LTE finally launches. Boy Genius Report has received a few photos from one of their tipsters showing off Verizon's first LTE USB modem. The device is made by LG and is containing an LTE SIM card that Verizon customers will grow accustomed to as 4G continues to grow. The modem looks like a finished product, so hopefully we'll be seeing it launch in the near future.
The modem in the photos looks like a finished product, but I imagine that Verizon still has some extensive testing to put it through before we can get our paws on the device. We've heard in the past that Verizon's LTE will be going live in November, which gives Big Red plenty of time to work out the kinks on its modem and its network. Are any of you going to pick up an LTE USB modem when they hit, or will you be waiting for LTE handsets before you indulge in 4G goodness?
