A few days ago we saw a leaked photo of the BlackBerry Bold 9780 and, in typical BlackBerry fashion, the device has now gotten a full-on video review before being made official by Research In Motion. The folks over at Driphter have posted the video, which shows off the device as well as the new OS, BlackBerry 6. The reviewer is quick to point out that the version of BB 6 being shown off "is a pre-release device and definitely not running the final software version." Still, it looks pretty nice, and the new WebKit browser already looks improved over the older BB browser. When it comes to the 9780 hardware, Driphter says that, except for the new darker bezel and increased RAM, the 9780 is identical to the 9700. For the full experience, check out the video below.
While some people complain that there is little revolution in the look and feel of new BlackBerrys, it would be hard to change up the design without upsetting business customers that rely on RIM's devices. The Storms, Pearl Flips, and upcoming 9800 slider do offer some differentiation from the traditional portrait QWERTY 'Berry, so at least there's that. Are any of you CrackBerry addicts salivating at thought of the 9780?
