While we continue to wait for new webOS hardware from HP/Palm, the Palm Pre continues to get cheaper.  AT&T has dropped the price of the original webOS phone to just $99.99, although the device is currently out of stock on the carrier's website.  AT&T's pricing on the Pre is now right in the middle of the other two carriers that offer the phone, with Verizon selling a Pre Plus for only $49.99 on contract, including a free Mobile Hotspot feature, while Sprint's aging Pre is sitting at $149.99.

The design may be a little over a year old, but the Palm Pre Plus is still a solid device for anyone that needs a powerful smartphone with a physical QWERTY and a great OS.  The app selection on webOS may not be as plentiful when compared to the Android Market or Apple's App Store, but webOS still has great apps and can multitask just as well, if not better than, any mobile platform to date.  AT&T's pricing may not be as low as Verizon's, but $100 isn't a bad price for a smartphone like the Palm Pre Plus.  I just want to know why Sprint is still selling the original, non-plus Pre for $150.
