If the Samsung Galaxy S is old news to you now that it's been released, I've got some good news for you. Specs for the next in the line of Galaxy devices, the Galaxy Q, have leaked, and they sound impressive. The Galaxy Q is powered by the same 1 GHz Hummingbird processor found in its Galaxy S brother and also includes a 3-inch 720x480 Super AMOLED display, an 8 megapixel camera with LED flash (capable of shooting HD video), a 1.3 megapixel front camera, Android 2.2, and a QWERTY keyboard. MobileCrunch points out that considering the screen size and dimensions of the device, the Galaxy Q could be a BlackBerry competitor, which matches up with rumors we've heard in the past.
The BlackBerry form factor, with its portrait QWERTY, is a tried-and-true design that you don't see often on devices not made by Research In Motion. While I have no doubt that the Galaxy S could be a hot device, Samsung may have a difficult time pulling BlackBerry owners away from their devices. They don't call them "CrackBerrys" for nothing, after all. Considering the Motorola Charm is the only Android device sporting a QWERTY keyboard that we've seen up until now, though, the Galaxy Q could do well with Android fans longing for a portrait QWERTY in their lives.
