So you weren't able to snag an iPhone 4 pre-order before the madness with AT&T and Apple last week? You could try heading to Best Buy on launch day to secure a unit, though if recently leaked inventory numbers are real, you'd better get there early. iClarified has received some legit-looking Best Buy inventory sheets that detail the amount of iPhone 4s that several stores will be receiving. The 16 GB version will be much more plentiful than the 32 GB, with most stores receiving anywhere between 20 and 70 devices on launch day. As for the 32 GB model? There will be as few as 10 units per store. As for the white model, Best Buy did place some orders for the device, but it's unclear whether or not they'll actually receive them.
The day of the iPhone 3GS launch last year, I only had to hit two different Best Buys to find the model I wanted (black 32 GB), so hopefully those of you planning to pick up an iPhone 4 this year will have similar luck. With all of the stores that will be selling devices on launch day, I'm sure that you'll be able to find a unit somewhere, you may just have to do some searching. As for finding a white model, I wouldn't be surprised to learn that Best Buy won't have the device at launch. After all, we still haven't heard a peep from Apple or AT&T concerning white iPhone 4 availability. I would assume that the phone's manufacturer or carrier would tout the white model if they were going to have it. Still, stranger things have happened, so it may be worth calling a few Best Buys to see if they have the white iPhone in stock. Are any of you planning to brave the lines to try and pick up an iPhone 4?
