When looking at the chart, "POS Amount After Price Override" is the amount you'll be paying in the store and "Promo Retail MIR" is the mail-in rebate. While you won't be paying more than $100, it's disappointing that customers will be forced to shell out cash and then wait for a mail-in rebate to come around. However, most consumers are accustomed to mail-in rebates, and you're still getting a free device, it just won't be free right away. Besides, if you're really that peeved about dealing with rebates, you could always head to The Shack and get a free phone on a single line with no rebate or activation fee.
