Not content to sit back and let T-Mobile have all of the free phone glory on June 19th, The Shack has responded with its own Father's Day sale. TmoNews is reporting that The Shack will offer all of its T-Mobile devices for free this Saturday, similar to T-Mobile's Father's Day sale. The big difference between the two is that with The Shack, users can get a free phone with a single line, while with T-Mobile customers must sign up for a family plan in order to receive free devices. Along with the free phone, The Shack is also offering no mail-in rebates and no activation fees, meaning you can walk out of the store with a new T-Mobile device without paying a cent. If you do want a family plan, though, T-Mobile seems like the way to go. At The Shack, only lines one and two are eligible for a free device, with the other lines subject to regular pricing. T-Mobile's sale allows customers to get up to five free devices for five different lines of a family plan. Finally, if you're looking for upgrade or FlexPay offers at The Shack, you're out of luck.
It looks like T-Mobile customers will have plenty of options when it comes to picking up a new device this Saturday, especially considering high-end devices like the HTC HD2 or the recently released MyTouch 3G Slide are part of the deal. Are any of you planning on heading to The Shack or a T-Mobile store this Saturday to pick up a new device?
