A new Motorola smartphone with the model number A955 recently got the A-OK from the Wi-Fi Alliance. The mystery device has been certified for 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi and, judging by all of the evidence gathered so far, it may very well be the Droid 2. The first piece of information to consider is that the new phone's model number, A955, is similar to that of the original Droid (A855). Second is a tweet was seen less than a week ago from an account that monitors Android device signatures that contained "droid2_vzw" along with the model number "A955."
Could this be the next major device that continues Android's domination of the world? Or better yet, is this the new Droid 2 for Verizon? Tell us what you think!
