As a mobile platform, if you're going to be successful, a great deal of your success relies on your app store. Microsoft is taking the wraps off of Windows Phone Marketplace for Windows Phone 7 Series, and it's looking great.
Said to be polished and in sync with the Windows Phone 7 Series interface, the new Windows Phone Marketplace offers the ability to accept credit card purchases, provide operator billing, and offer ad-supported content. The application also offers "panoramic view", which gives you the ability to browse, preview, and read reviews about various applications. One of the coolest features of the Marketplace comes in the ability to offer trial versions of paid content, something that no other mobile marketplace offers. I'm a big fan of trying things before I buy them, so in my book, it's a welcome feature.
Looks pretty cool to me, and more importantly, it's a vital piece of WP7's success. Stay tuned for more coverage from MIX10 in Las Vegas!
