Ijust got a press release from T-Mobile hyping up their 2009 GRAMMY®Celebration Concert Tour presented by T-Mobile® Sidekick®. The firstconcert is April 14 out here in San Francisco.  After I finishedhitting my T-Mo PR contact up for some tickets to the show, I realizedsomething pretty obvious:

• T-Mo is putting on a big to-do sponsored by Sidekick. 
  
• Rumors of a new Sidekick have been floating around the Web for awhile now, including this pretty detailed post by a Hiptop3 reader, and the above photo which was also posted on Hiptop3. 
  
• The biggest launch event in the US cell phone industry, CTIA Wireless, starts April 1 in Las Vegas.

SoI put two and two together, connected the dots, and came up with this: I'm officially starting a rumor that the new Sidekick will launch April1 in Vegas.  I have nothing more to go on than what I just told you:While it's possible that T-Mo would sponsor a fancy concert series withKaty Perry and LL Cool J to promote last year's Sidekick, I kind of don't think so. 

While it's not exactly going out on a limb here, I'm tellin' youthe new Sidekick ("Sidekick LX 2009"?) will drop on 4/1 in Vegas.  Mybest guesses as to specs and features also come by way of Hiptop3 andare best summarized by the little PowerPoint slide I've pasted in foryou below.  Get your hype suits on, kids, it's (once again) almosttrade show time.
