Edible Apple just reported that the iPhone 3G, which went on sale yesterday in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, grabbed more than 25,000 customers within mere hours of its launch. (When the phone went on sale in Germany, 10,000 units were sold, and in France, it took a whole week to reach 30,000.)
Unbelievable. The iPhone doesn't even support Arabic, which means that Middle Eastern iPhone users can't text in their native language. And since it's going to take at least three more months for the language to get supported, Arabic websites are basically going to show up looking like a word salad for a while.
Wow. And I thought we were nuts about our iPhones. Not so sure I?d love mine so much if I couldn't understand it.
