When most Americans hear the name Huawei, they believe that it's someone saying ?Hawaii? the wrong way. Contrary to this assumption, the Chinese manufacturer is very popular outside of the US (at present, they only have one model available in the US, and it's with regional carrier MetroPCS). Over time, rumors had circulated that the company would eventually release an Android phone, and it appears to be coming to fruition at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona (February 16). The phone will be in the booth marked ?Mobile U-Life,? so if you?re there, be sure to check it out.
On an unrelated note, the event looks to be an exciting one, and according to Gearlog, announcements are expected across the board from Palm, Nokia, Microsoft, Samsung, and HTC.
