While I?m certainly not thrilled about the wait, I am very excited about the new BlackBerry App store that RIM finally announced and dated this week.
Beginning this December, developers will be able to submit their applications to be considered for the RIM storefront of the BlackBerry Application Center, which is set to launch in March 2009.
Similar to the Apple model, RIM will take a 20% revenue share (10% less than Apple). RIM will allow developers to set their own prices and will use PayPal to facilitate the transactions.
Although we have to wait for the App store, we will have the Storm and the Bold to keep us busy.
