Really want an HTC Touch Diamond?  Really, really want one?  Like, want one so badly that you can't wait for the GSM version with North American 3G to be released, and/or don't want to sign up with Sprint to get the CDMA version that should be out in a week or two?

Lucky for you my uber-obsessed friend, Best Buy's got your back.  The mega-retailer of consumer electronics will reportedly be selling the current unlocked GSM version of HTC's Touch Diamond smartphone starting as soon as ... well, real soon, anyway.  You can even go ahead and pre-order the device from BestBuy.com for the low, low price of $699.99 USD.  Still want it?  Bear in mind that you'll be getting the version with European/Asian spec 3G ... I know I said that already, but it really bears repeating seeing as the NA GSM version's already been leaked and that Sprint CDMA variant is really right around the corner.

Then again, by the time Best Buy's stock status for the Diamond changes from "pre-order" to "in stock," they might just have that North American variant ... and maybe they'll even update the Web page with the proper specs, to boot.  Anyone willing to risk it?  C'mon, you know who you are.
