Reports from a number of sources and Web sites are pointing to the latest in a string of iPhone 3G problems: Data services are out for AT&T customers up and down the East Coast, and the majority (or perhaps all?) of the complaints are being registered by Apple iPhone 3G customers.
A thread in the AT&T forums titled "Full 3g Bars. No Service." details a host of issues iPhone owners are having connections ranging from no data service at all to "DOG Slow" service and a recent report out of Washington, D.C. that reads, "Data seems to be working, slow, but working.". Apparently AT&T is offering up $25 credits to offset the loss in data uptime. All you gotta do is ask. Well, first you'll have to wait on hold awhile for a customer service rep. Then you can ask.
Check out the thread for more details.
In the meantime, anyone out there with an iPhone 3G on the East Coast: How's it workin' for you?
