Last October I posted a mini-review of the Monsoon HAVA Platinum HD, a Slingbox-alike device that streams video content from your entertainment system (Cable Box, DVR, DVD Player, etc) to a PC or smartphone via the Internet.  HAVA does what Slingbox does and then some, and at a lower cost to boot - or so Monsoon would hava you believe.

Monsoon today announced the coming availability of HAVA Mobile Player for S60 so all you Nokia smartphone users can get in on the HAVA love.  The S60 client will be available as a Beta download by the end of June, and the official release will come sometime during Q3 of this year.  But if you just can't wait, you can email ava-s60@monsoonmultimedia.com and ask to join Monsoon's Beta testing program.  

Back in October when I tested it, I found HAVA to be a nice alternative to Slingbox with more technical features but a little less polish on the user interface.  Monsoon's priced the entire HAVA line pretty aggressively and is (was?) offering some Memorial Day discounts, so they're worth a look if you're the geeky type more interested in features, inputs, and outputs than slick UIs and branding.
