Several interesting new handsets were announced at CTIA earlier this month, but none have generated as many questions and emails as the LG enV2 for Verizon Wireless. Between comments on the blog, emails to the site, and YouTube comments and messages, I get more "When's enV2 coming out? Where's your full review of enV2?" messages than anything else these days.
Lucky for you and me both, the waiting is just about over. Verizon Wireless announced that enV2 will be available in their retail stores starting tomorrow, Wednesday April 30. I also found out from my VZW rep that I should have my review model tomorrow, as well. Woo-hoo!
enV2 will sell for $129.99 after a $50 rebate and with your agreement to a two-year service contract. The successor to the popular LG enV is slimmer and less expensive than the original, but boasts a larger internal display in addition to the same dual-screen, dual-keypad design that made the first model such a success. enV2 will be available in both black and maroon, and will be available at Circuit City as well as directly through Verizon Wireless.
Check back tomorrow and Friday for my first hands-on impressions of this hotly awaited new messaging phone.
