Last week, Nokia announced the 6212 classic, a candy bar style handset with integrated Near Field Communication (NFC). The 3G handset allows consumers to conveniently share content, access services and information as well as conduct payments and ticketing with one tap of the device.

Expected to be available in Europe and Asia in the third quarter, the 6212 (200 EUR) will allow users to leverage NFC technology to swap audio files, contact information, calendar appointments by tapping their devices together or tapping an NFC-enabled tag. Subscribers can even use it purchase tickets and make mobile payments.
