This could be lame or it could be a pretty handy bit of innovation for all you "I love my Bluetooth but I'm always losing it" types. Phone Arena has pics and details on the LG VX8610, a Verizon-branded slider phone with a removable Bluetooth earpiece that snaps in and out of a slot on the back of the handset. You know VZW is going to give it some weird name like "Listener" or "Trekker" (or "Vanilla"? you know, like Chocolate?), but it still could be a handy little gadget.
Phone Arena is reporting that the 8610 also features a front-mounted BlackBerry Pearl-esque trackball for navigation along with a QVGA display, 2MP camera, and microSD and microUSB expansion ports. Look for it sometime during Q2 of this year.
The report also has pics and details on the VX9100, a slimmed down replacement for the VX9900 enV. Check it all out over on PhoneArena.
