iPhone Firmware update 1.1.3 has been previewed on blogs around the Web over the past week or so, thanks to an apparent leak from somewhere within Apple.  MacScoop is now claiming that the next iPhone update (they didn't call it 1.1.3 specifically) will be released during MacWorld San Francisco two weeks from now, and will bring copy and paste functionality to the handset at long last.

In addition to the oft-requested copy-paste feature, the next iPhone update will also add faux-GPS functionality based on cell tower triangulation, improved Google Maps functionality, multiple-recipient SMS sending, and a user-editable home screen.  Several of these functions are already available to users of "jailbroken" iPhones by way of third-party software, including Navizon (cell tower-based GPS) and SummerBoard (editable, multi-page home screen).  The next official Apple update is also, of course, said to address various stability issues and break all current unlocking and third-party software exploits.
