The T290 is typical of an entry level phone offered by Sony Ericsson. Unfortunately this is not a compliment. Sony Ericsson has yet to make a good quality entry level phone that is simple to use and user friendly right out of the box. The T290 suffers from a slow interface, poor display, difficult navigation structure and limited features.
Top consumer complaints have been the size and feel of the keypad, limited memory, poor internet browsing and questionable durability. With all of the phones' short comings It is easy to see why the Sony Ericsson T290 made our list of phones to avoid.
