Ridgefield Park, NJ - Samsung Electronics America Inc., a world leader in consumer electronics is celebrating its second year of sponsorship with the NFL with an inaugural Samsung/NFL football exhibition game on Sept. 6, 2006 in South Florida. As part of the Official NFL 2006 Kick-off event, the flag football exhibition will showcase some of the NFL's greatest former players including: Hall of Famer Marcus Allen formerly of the Oakland Raiders, 1990's All-Decade Team and Minnesota Vikings receiver Cris Carter, the pride of the New York Jets Wayne Chrebet, three time Pro-Bowler Mark "Super" Duper and Pro-Bowler and Atlanta Falcons 1990s standout Jamal Anderson. These popular veterans (and more to be named) will be divided into two teams along with members of the South Florida media and a few celebrity football personalities to play an hour long scrimmage on Wednesday, Sept. 6 at 3:00 pm in Lummus Park on Miami's South Beach.

The event will feature players and celebrities alike, playing a flag football game. During halftime, two fans will be chosen to compete in the Samsung Lucky Fan Skills Event to win the Samsung YP-K5 digital audio player.

The company focuses on new and innovative interactive events, showcasing the sport of football, to help consumers understand and appreciate the high definition viewing experience, which is unlike any other.
