I for one don't think it will have as great of an impact as it could unless Sprint and Sirius agree to add the Howard 100 show to the list of available channels. Unfortunately I don't feel 20 channels are enough for people to add the service to their phones even though it is only $6.95 a month extra. Let's face it; Howard is the #1 reason to choose Sirius over XM. After becoming a subscriber to the Sirius Satellite (120 channel) radio service, I have to say it's worth every penny. I would strongly consider adding this service to my phone for the standard $6.95 add a line fee Sirius currently offers.
On the plus side Sprint has 6 phones to choose from that will allow consumers to access the Sirius Satellite programming.
1. Sanyo MM-8300
2. Sanyo MM-9000
3. Sanyo MM-7500
4. Samsung MM-A880
5. Samsung MM-A940
6. Samsung MM-A800
With our mobile phones becoming a more and more indispensable accessory to our everyday lives, it just makes sense to pack as many features and technologies into one familiar device. We are now able to do our shopping, listen to FM and/or Satellite radio, view on demand TV shows and movies, and access the internet @ broadband speeds.
What's next? Stay tuned ;-)
