We’re going to be doing some arts and crafts here on PhoneDog, possibly for the very first time. So grab your scissors and tape because we’re going to have some fun.
I came across this YouTube video from a fellow YouTuber and fellow friend of mine Joel from JBTech17, who demonstrated how to try the Apple Watch using Augmented Reality. I just thought it was really cool and I thought that a lot of you guys would really like it so we’re gonna do just that.
So if you want to do this arts & crafts project, you will need an iPhone and this piece of paper which I’ll provide a link to download below in the description bar of this video for you to download it and print it off. Once you have the piece of paper printed out, you will need to cut out this little Apple Watch marker and this is where the scissors come in. But be careful not to cut yourself because we would not want that. Just try to cut along the dotted lines as close as possible.
Once you have done that, you will need to download the ARWatch (Augmented Reality Watch) app, which you can do right now if you pause the video and scan this QR code. If that doesn’t work, you can just download it from the link in the description, whichever you want to do. I will note that this app isn’t in the App Store so Apple will warn you before you install it so install at your own risk.
Now before you go and open it up, you’re going to want to grab the tape and tape the cutout piece of paper onto your wrist where you plan to wear the Apple Watch. And when you have all that done, you can open up the app and the app will automatically place a digital little version of the Apple Watch on your wrist through Augmented Reality. It’s super cool.
Using this app, you can change the size from 38 to 42mm to see which size of the Apple Watch might be best for you and your wrist, however big your wrist might be. I’m probably going to go with the smaller 38mm size just because my wrists are pathetically small.
You can also change the color of the Apple Watch from say pink to green to black to white. And this is the Apple Watch Sport edition, which you will be seeing. As far as I know, there’s no other version of the Apple Watch you can display at your wrist, unfortunately. Maybe in a future update.
But I just thought this was really neat and it’s probably the best way to test the new Apple Watch besides actually going into the stores and testing it out in person. So once again, if you guys want to test out this experiment, I will leave all the required info in the description down below. And if you guys liked this fun arts and crafts type of video, feel free to hit the like button and we might do some more fun videos like it.
