September is coming to an end meaning we get to reflect on some of the best Android apps to hit the Play Store. We have compiled 10 of our favorite apps so without further ado let’s take a look at the first app.
Life Hacks is pretty self-explanatory. This app aims to make your life easier with tips and tricks. What’s neat about this app is the life hacks are in one big long list that you can scroll through. Some examples include make a password into a goal of yours so you constantly have to be reminded of it and any working cell phone, regardless of whether it’s in service or not, will be able to call 911. The list just goes on and on. There are hundreds of these tips. You’re guaranteed to learn something new.
The only downside is the number of ads. They are pretty excessive at times.
Amazing Weather is an app that has live wallpapers that depict the current weather condition in your area. The animations are minimal yet realistic. What’s more is that it also changes with day and night zones so if it’s nighttime, the wallpaper will be dark.
It does cost $2 but I think it can justify.
Clockwise smart alarm is a really progressive alarm clock app. It uses these things called modules, which are essentially widgets to get custom content from your favorite websites and sources. Then the alarm speaks to you via the content that you set. So what you can do is have it read out news headlines when it wakes you up. How cool is that?
Split-screen Creator makes a shortcut to instantly launch new apps in multi-window mode. It’s really as simple as that. You don’t have to manually open up one app, launch split-window mode and select a second app. No. This app does that automatically. All you have to do is just pick the recipe.
Material Notification Shade is a replacement for your stock notification panel. The app uses gesture detection to provide you with a custom notification shade when you swipe down to reveal your notifications. You can change the background color, the foreground color of the quick settings icons, as well as the color of the brightness slider.
If you have a stock Android device, you should definitely check this out.
Smartphone Upgrader 2017 makes your phone revolutionary by adding one critical feature: a notch reminiscent of the iPhone X. That’s right. With a tap or two, you can convert your phone into an iPhone X or an Essential Phone. This app clearly is a joke but it might be worth a download to make you or your friends chuckle.
BubblOO is a new bubble shooter game with one new rule: aim or shoot at three or more same colored bubbles to make them disappear. There are special item bubbles to help you on your mission. There’s not much to it but it’s a lot of fun and super addicting.
Tap the Tower is a brand spanking new game. The controls consist of you consistently tapping the screen to move forward and swiping up to jump over oncoming objects. The goal is to tap the tower and get as far as you can until you’re smashed.
AMOLED mnml has a bunch of wallpapers designed specifically for AMOLED displays like the display on the Note 8. When I say they are designed specifically for AMOLED displays, I mean they tend to have dark backgrounds so that the pixels aren’t lit up and they aren’t consuming your precious battery life. There’s a lot of neat designs to choose from here so if you have a smartphone with an AMOLED display, you might want to check out this app.
WhiteHole is the last game on the list. You spin around in a circle firing at enemies while in attack mode or avoiding enemies in defense mode. If you’re in defense mode, you can collect items that’ll be used to help you survive as long as possible. The controls can be a little bit touchy but this is a fun game to just quickly boot up and kill some time with.
With that last one, those are 10 of our favorite Android apps to hit the Play Store during the month of September 2017.
