Sony has announced a new Xperia device dubbed the Sony Xperia Z1 Compact. The idea is simple: Pack the same feature set and experience offered by the full-sized Xperia Z1 into a smaller package. The Xperia Z1 Compact features almost all the features, with the one big difference being their displays: The Xperia Z1 has a 5-inch 1080p panel while the Xperia Z1 Compact includes a 4.3-inch 720p screen. The Xperia Z1 Compact also includes a 2.2GHz quad-core processor, Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and Sony's PlayStation Mobile application.
Sony says that the Xperia Z1 Compact is slated to begin rolling out in Europe during the first quarter of 2014, but so far no pricing announcements have been made.
