I'll be the first to tell you that many of the devices made by HTC and Samsung are the hot "must-have" devices right now. If you're looking for a great smartphone that doesn't break the bank, the Pantech Discover is one of my favorites. There are some caveats in comparison to the high-end devices on the market, but all things considered, it's a great device that's only $50 at AT&T. It offers a 1.5 GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 CPU, 4.8-inch HD (720p) display, 12.6-megapixel camera with 1080p recording, 1 GB of RAM, 2,100 mAh battery, 4G LTE connectivity, and Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) with Pantech's UI.
They're appealing to multiple demographics with the smartphone, but there's a lot of brand loyalty out there between HTC, Motorola, Samsung, and LG. Can it gain traction in the market? Part 1 of 2.
