For the past 14 days, I've been using the Moto X as one of my personal devices for the Moto X 30 day challenge. In today's update video, we're talking about how Motorola's flagship compares to two others - the HTC One and Samsung Galaxy S 4.
The first difference for me: the inability to add custom albums out of the box. I'm the type of person that likes to have multiple albums for things (vacations, family pictures, etc.) and while I realize there are alternatives, you can't add an album from the gallery area like you can with the HTC One and Samsung Galaxy S 4. Another involves the camera goodies - on both the One and the GS4, you have a ton of camera features including dual shot, HTC Zoe, highlight videos, and more. I use those on a regular basis when I'm working with those devices, so I find myself missing them on the Moto X. And last but certainly not least - display size. For my personal use, 5-inches is the perfect sweet spot, so while the Moto X feels good in the hand (and different than the One despite having the same display size), I find myself wanting a larger display.
