It's with sadness that I have to inform you that from July 1st, I will no longer be working with PhoneDog Media. My adventure with this awesome network started back in January 2010 when I helped out with TodaysiPhone.com. Our iPhone blog was only launching at the time and we had a lot of buzz and excitement around it. It was my first experience working in media. My aim was always get to a point where I could make videos for PhoneDog. I didn't honestly think I would ever get to that point, but I worked hard anyway. Last year, the opportunity came to start my dream job and I've loved every minute of it.
Sadly, it's now time to move on. I've been with the company for more than five years and I'm ready for a change. As much as I've loved it, I've also found it very tiring. Running TiP and then running TmoNews meant working on American time. That meant working every evening which in turn meant I didn't see my kids until the weekend despite working from home. I don't want to miss any more time with them, and I need to make changes to my work/life balance for my own health reasons. Over the past 5 years I've been treated for depression and anxiety on two occasions. As much as I know that work isn't the only cause, late nights and tiredness only serve to make the condition worse. I have to look after myself, and look after my family.
Working here has been the greatest career adventure of my life so far, and I wanted to thank you all for your continuous support. Thank for watching, reading and commenting. I'm leaving an amazing team behind, and you'll still be served great quality content from everyone here. It's been a joy working on the video side with Marco and Beau this past year, as it has been working with all the other staffers (past and present).
Thankfully, another opportunity has been offered to me. Still in the tech space. I'll announce where I'm heading after my time with PhoneDog comes to an end on June 30th. If you want to keep in touch and follow my move, you can find me on Twitter: @CamBunton
