Cam looks back at one of the most unique and interesting "smart" phones of its day. The Ericsson R380 looked a lot like a regular, large-ish candybar phone, but it was hiding a secret underneath its flappy keypad. It had a large, rectangular resistive touchscreen underneath and was running a very early version of Symbian.

Ericsson's R380 World phone had all the PDA-type features, including Email, Calendars and Reminders alongisde the usual phone features. It also had an early form of mobile internet, which literally dialled a specific carrier number to connect, as well as an Infrared port for transferring information between the device and another compatible device.
