The LG Optimus Elite is one of Sprint's new low-end Android smartphones. It is unique because it is an eco-friendly device made of 50 percent recycled plastic and is packed in fully recyclable packaging that is printed with soy inks. It's ULE Platinum Certified, RoHS compliant, and includes a charger that exceeds the EC Code of Conduct on energy efficiency. The short of it is it's very eco-friendly.

With a 3.5-inch display, an 800 MHz processor, and a 5-megapixel camera, it's certainly not the most impressive device on the market. But it has some nice features like NFC, Google Wallet, Mobile Hotspot capabilities, and an offer for 50GB of free cloud storage from Box. And for $29 on contract, it's hard to resist.
